The regeneration drink Reg-N Prototype is a response to the new shift in the training doctrine. Nowadays, training is goal based even in preparation for the longest races – intervals, sprints, uphill – which naturally leads to greater alterations in the adaptation to training. The regeneration drink Reg-N Prototype is the first in the world to contain a mix of two types of carbohydrates in the 1:0.8 ratio of maltodextrin and fructose, which replenishes muscle and liver glycogen. The ratio is fully absorbed from the stomach and doesn't irritate the digestive tract, which is usually irritated after strain (due to a high amount of glucose, energy gels, bananas, almonds).
So far, regeneration drinks contained only a high amount of carbohydrates (up to 4:1 or even 5:1) – the new Reg-N contains 50g of carbohydrates and 30g of whey protein of exclusively British origin. This ratio has been proven to be the best for protein synthesis regardless of training type. It also contains electrolytes in citrate forms, as continuous intake of electrolytes throughout the entire training process is more efficient than a single intake. It doesn't contain artificial sweeteners or colorants and is suitable for young athletes.
The regeneration drink Reg-N is the result of Slovene and British knowledge combined within the Nduranz project.
- Suitable for long workouts and interval training
- Maltodextrin and fructose in the 1:0.8 ratio replenish muscle and liver glycogen
- Doesn't burden the digestive tract, as it doesn't rely only on the glucose transporters
- Added electrolytes stimulate optimal operation of the neuromuscular system
- Prevents stress-related muscle catabolism (full glycogen stores control glucose levels)
- The product is used by Marko Baloh, the Eppinger Team, Luka Janežič, Slaven Belupo, Marco Ganassin, Alex Rhodes
- Doping-free (WADA)

Store in a dark and cool place. Keep outside the reach of children. Not suitable for pregnant and lactating women. *only chocolate flavour. NET amount: 860 g.
NUTRITION FACTS 100 g: Kcal: 383, kJ: 1623, Fat: 2.0 g, Carbohydrates: 56 g (28 g sugars), Protein: 35 g, Salt: 1.7 g.
Mix 1-3 scoops of Reg-N (depends on exercise length and intensity) with 150-800ml of water and drink immediately after workout.
"The regeneration drink Reg-N Prototype takes into account the three pillars of the regeneration process: rehydration with electrolytes, glycogen stores replenishment, and optimal protein synthesis. It is made of 100% whey protein of British origin with a high quantity of BCAA (30g of protein) and 50g of two types of carbohydrates to also replenish liver glycogen. It doesn’t contain flavour enhancers, sweeteners, or preservatives, and is suitable for young athletes."
WHY A REGENERATION DRINK AND NOT CHOCOLATE MILK?
A regeneration drink is the most important supplement of each endurance athlete, as it enables a higher number of workouts of better quality in a given period of time. Chocolate milk after training is better than nothing, as it provides us with some protein and carbohydrates, but once we train five times per week, it can no longer satisfy our needs. Milk protein is not the same quality as whey protein because it contains lactose and a significant amount of fat, so it takes more time for it to enter the bloodstream.
Studies demonstrated that the best ratio for the synthesis of new muscle fibre is 30g of quality protein with a complete amino acid profile and 50g of carbohydrates. The ratio or amount do not differ much based on sport (whether it is classical endurance, explosiveness, or strength), as the difference is mostly in the intake of different amounts of macronutrients throughout the day.
Quality whey protein contains a high amount of branched-chain amino acids (BCAA), especially leucine, the activator of protein synthesis. All amino acids must be available for muscle recovery, and Reg-N is a product with the highest amount of protein per serving. Due to its unique mix of carbohydrates, Reg-N replenishes glycogen even after the longest workouts with fewer calories in the last phase before muscle recovery. Ingesting 100g of glucose on an overburdened, often irritated and full, digestive tract means that probably 70g of glucose will eventually roam into the intestine, and we will feel discomfort after ingestion.
The regeneration drink Reg-N is based on three pillars of the regeneration process: rehydration, glycogen store replenishment, and muscle recovery (triple R: rehydration, refuelling, recovery). The electrolytes in Reg-N are adapted to those we lose in the sweat. Citrate forms of minerals and salt have extremely high bioavailability, and a combination of maltodextrin and fructose in a 1:0.8 ratio makes sure that it reaches the blood, an extremely dense and salty solution by itself, together with glucose. Like an isotonic drink, the Reg-N drink makes use of both transporters for the uptake of carbohydrates, which reduces the burden on the digestive tract and helps replace the lost minerals, which would otherwise require controlled, unnatural isotonic conditions.
TRANSPARENCY, SOURCE OF INGREDIENTS, AND TESTING ON CYCLISTS AND TRIATHLETES
Reg-N Prototype is the name of the project in which Nduranz tested what could cause problems to the user under real-life conditions. The initial version contains whey concentrate of British origin, as the concentrate produces the creamiest flavour. To break down lactose, Nduranz added the enzymes lactate and bromelain, then they overloaded cyclists, swimmers, and triathletes with 90-120g of CHO/h from energy gels and isotonic drinks. After six rounds, the athletes also ingested a regeneration drink following the 30/50 principle. Finding balance between natural aromas and individuals with lactose intolerance lead to the final product which comes in new packaging.
